Monash at a glance

Campuses and study centres

Monash has eight campuses worldwide. In Australia there are six campuses, five of which (Berwick, Caulfield, Clayton, Parkville and Peninsula) are located in and around metropolitan Melbourne. The sixth campus is located in the Gippsland region of the state of Victoria, 160 kilometres east of Melbourne.

In addition, Monash has a centre in Prato, Italy and a joint initiative with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in Mumbai, India.

The Prato centre provides opportunities for research, international conferences, study and cultural tours, summer schools, short courses, workshops, art and design exhibitions and performances. It also seeks to develop and expand Australia's connections with universities, governments, cultural organisations and industry in Europe.

The IITB-Monash Research Academy is a joint initiative that offers opportunities for high-achieving research students and for industry and government to access high-level research and development in both India and Australia.

Faculties

Monash is a broad-based research and teaching institution with 10 faculties: Art and Design; Arts; Business and Economics; Education; Engineering; Information Technology; Law; Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences; Pharmacy; and Science.
