DISCOVERY 702 Walk the Talk Fun Walk - Sunday 27 July 2008

In 2007 Monash South Africa entered a team of 150 in the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk fun walk. This year Monash has doubled up and registered a team of 300 to take part in this exciting 5 km event on Sunday 27 July 2008.
The fun walk will be hosted by Monash South Africa Sport together with TEAM MONASH Sport, Melbourne.

The Discovery 702 Walk the Talk was established in 2000 with 12 000 entries. In 2007, 40 000 participants took to the streets of Jo’burg over the four distances: 5km, 8km, 21km and 42km. The new routes, new start and finish, at Marks Park Sports Club included the hospitality village with on-stage entertainment which was a big hit with companies, clubs and the public.

This year the distances of 21km and 42km have changed to 15km and 30km.
A marquee tent will be set up at the “Team Monash Campsite” situated on the Marks Park Sports Club rugby field just off the main Hospitality Village.
Each Monash participant will receive meal and drinks vouchers before the event and braaipacks will be prepared by caterers on-site.
Three 65-seater busses will transport the Monash team to and from the venue.
More information and details of bus departure times will be given at a pre-event presentation where participants will also receive their TEAM MONASH T-shirts.
