Monash South Africa represented at ICEF conference
19 May 2006
Mr Andre Lubbe, director of advancement at Monash South Africa, attended
the ICEF workshop in the United Kingdom from 5 to 7 May 2006.
The ICEF workshop is designed to give education providers and study-abroad
agents an opportunity to meet each other and undertake brief discussions.

These discussions are useful as introductory meetings between parties who
have not previously worked together and provide an opportunity to examine
the possibility of future business co-operation, or to maintain relationships
with established partner organizations.
”As an education provider we found the ICEF workshop valuable as
we were able to meet with a wide range of representatives from many countries
in a time-effective manner,” said Mr Lubbe.
”It gave providers an opportunity to increase their student enrolment
by meeting and appointing new agents, maintaining personal contacts and
promotional networks, obtaining market feedback, as well as to promoting
their own brand within the international education framework.
”Similarly, agents could source new worldwide educational opportunities
for their portfolios, discuss business issues and cultivate existing relationships
with their partner organizations at a convenient two-day event."
