Monash South Africa assists in fight against crime

Monash South Africa was presented with a certificate in appreciation
of its support in the fight against crime last week by Mr Wimpie Fourie,
Roodepoort Area Manager for the South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime
Information/Reporting Boards project.

“It is without doubt that this project has contributed towards
the combating of crime by involving local communities in reporting criminal
activities as was actually invisaged by the launch of the project,”
said Mr Makhubela, Divisional Commissioner of the SAPS Crime Prevention
Division.
He gave a special word of thanks to the business community partners for
sponsoring the costs of maintaining the crime reporting boards and in
so doing ensuring the smooth running of the project. “We hope that
this project will continue to grow to ensure a safer environment for all
law abiding citizens. Together, united in the fight against crime we will
make a difference.”
