29 March 2006

The first group of students to undertake an honours degree in information technology at Monash South Africa have completed their enrolment for the 2006 academic year.

Looking ahead: Ms Rebecca Burks from Fourways, Sandton; Ms Laura Cremona from Helderkruin, Roodepoort; Dr Jacques Steyn, Mr Wilfred Moyo from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe; and Mr Phillip Timveos from Roodepoort.

Dr Jacques Steyn, Head of the School of Information Technology at Monash South Africa, said the program was being offered at the campus for the first time this year.

"We are delighted to have this group of students on board and look forward to providing them with an interesting and rewarding year," he said.

At the Monash South Africa graduation ceremony last month, the group were awarded their Bachelor of Commerce in Business Systems degrees.
