Successful Open Day at Monash South Africa

More than 470 visitors attended a successful Open Day held at Monash
South Africa on Saturday, 13 May. About 200 of these visitors were prospective
students.
Director of advancement at Monash South Africa, Mr Andre Lubbe, said
he was pleased with the attendance and expects that the second Open Day
on 22 July will, as per past experience, attract even more interest.
Visitors were taken on tours of the campus in small groups throughout
the day. They were given introductory presentations and shown all the
campus facilities. Academic and administrative staff were on hand to explain
all the different degree, study and residence options.
Student Development was a popular venue where prospective students had
the opportunity to undertake an on-line career assessment followed by
a personal interview and analysis of the results.
A survey showed that a large percentage of visitors were attracted to
the campus because the international standing of Monash University and
its reputation for quality.
Other aspects of Monash South Africa that appealed to prospective students
were the small classes, the attractive campus and the Monash Study Abroad
Programme.
“We were impressed with the quality of prospective students that
visited the campus and were pleased that on the day we received several
completed applications to study at Monash South Africa,” said Mr
Andre Lubbe.
