Communications and Media Studies
Communications and Media Studies is
concerned with the organisation, processes
and effects of traditional and new
communications technologies. Students
will learn to critically analyse the media
and learn about the structure of communications
industries and the relations
between the media, culture and power.
How do I complete a major in Communications and Media Studies?
Students must complete the two
first-year units followed by three units
at second-year level, and three units
at third-year level. The particular units
available may vary from year to year, but
those currently offered are:
First year
