A centre for change

We know that education is capable of making people “architects of change”. But, what we truly believe, is that the most ground-breaking and innovative ideas around social, political, economic and developmental change are the product of partnerships and collaboration.

That’s why, at the Monash Africa Centre, we have created a think tank that brings together the brightest global minds in pursuit of excellence in South Africa.

We invite academics, government and industry experts, as well as current students, member of the community, opinion leaders and others to discuss, debate, advance research and develop a better understanding of the present realities and future potential of South Africa and the African continent.

What we offer

The centre is a multi-disciplinary, multi-functional space. We play host to international high-level forums and offer relevant training and flexible education opportunities through our short courses. We consult with clients in creating and refining business, learning, development and personal growth strategies, and provide a setting for rigorous debate and public lectures.

Short courses – choose from subjects as varied as basic photography, sports management, emotional intelligence and neuro-linguistic programming.
Events – engage in discussions on topics like HIV/AIDS, road safety and democracy.
Consultancy – develop your business or personal development strategy with our help.
Partnerships – work collaboratively with us.

Do you need a space for change?

Our state-of-the-art facilities are available for hire to host workshops, seminars, symposia and conferences.
