Mandela Rhodes Foundation: Scholarship

The Mandela Rhodes Scholarship Programme offers educational opportunities to all African citizens with scholastic and leadership potential to study at suitable tertiary institutions in South Africa.

This African scholarship, combined with the Foundation's leadership-skills training , aims to create a network of principled future leaders, with the capacity and will to advance themselves and their countries.

The intention of the Scholarship Programme is to give expression to the legacy of academic excellence, leadership skills, education, reconciliation and entrepreneurship.

Each year the Mandela Rhodes Foundation invites Monash South Africa to nominate students that would be eligible as recipients of this scholarship.

In 2008, Mr Unnel-Teddy Ngoumandjoka an Honours student in the Monash School of Information Technology was awarded this prestigious scholarship.

Teddy commenced with the programme at the beginning of 2009.
