Monash South Africa four km Spring Walk 2011

On Wednesday 12 October 2011, the Monash South Africa Sports office launched the annual global campus walk in conjunction the mother Monash campuses in Australia. The event which marked its third time in Monash South Africa attracted 52 participates.

The event which was a 4 kilometre walk started around 12: 30 noon from the cement block in front of the newly built faculty of Health Sciences (Africa Centre building F), the participants had to use the Monash South Africa gate which connects the institution and the Willows residential. The path leads down to the river where participants had to cross the river twice.

The event took an 1 hour as the first participants arrived at exactly 13: 30. Each participant who took part in the event were given a healthy snack pack which were meant for them to replenish the energy they lost during the walk. After that all the participants took part in a draw competition which was dominated by the Monash South Africa`s library staff members as most of them won themselves the global campus walk 2011 t-shirts and a bag while the rest were won by students.
